Summer Hiatus for Unapocalyptic
My paid subscribers have helped me afford to indie-publish a new book. To get that off the ground, I'm focusing my summer on that and pausing Unapocalyptic
It might seem ironic to be punishing my subscribers for helping me reach an important landmark. Not all of my subscribers are paying subscribers, of course; those who are have provided me enough revenue to launch an important project whose details I can’t reveal yet. It’s a new book, I can tell you that, and I’m hoping to have it out in late Fall—but don’t hold me to that.
In order to get that project into production, I’m going to have to focus all of my attention on it over the summer. Taking a summer vacation seems like a good idea anyway, as it’ll help me recharge my batteries. Unapocalyptic is not going away, I’m just hitting the pause button during the good weather.
One of the nice features of Substack is that paying subscribers won’t be billed while the site is on pause. This means people can keep their subscriptions, and creators like myself can pause from time to time to take on the important creative work that we aspire to. Summer 2025 will be such a time for me.
Thanks for your patronage so far; I’ll keep you posted on my progress, through Substack Notes and on my website, www.kschroeder.com. When it’s time for the big reveal, you’ll be the first to see it.
Meanwhile, enjoy your summer, and continue to work at earning optimism about our future.
